Biography

Nisar  Faizi is the son of Faiz Mohammad Ghoryani  from Herat province, who served as a Business man during the last years of Afghanistan’s monarchy. Nisar Faizi  was born into a devout Muslim family in 1967  in the city of Heart.  He completed his elementary education at the Enghelab  School, and went on to graduate from Enghelab  High School in 1986.

The following year, he joined the Afghan Freedom Fighters and served as the caretaker in charge of logistical affairs for the Heart province resistance front. It was there that Nisar Faizi became an advisor and close companion to the Herat’s national hero, Esmail khan.
From the early days of resistance to the liberation of Herat, Nisar Faizi’s relentless efforts and devotion to the cause of independence for the Afghan people earned him national recognition. During the fight against the Red army he injured and sent to the USA for therapy. From 1992 until 1996 he started business as exporter of Afghan carpet in USA.

After the Taliban’s exit from Heart,Nisar Faizi continued as the Manager of Liberty Corporation Electric Company in Herat  Province.
Nisar Faizi  is married and has one daughter and one son. He is fluent in Dari, English.
